Orbited by multiple moons and ravaged by wild, magical weather, Lumeria is a planet of breathtaking extremes. But the world is sharply divided by the Great Wall—a massive, shimmering barrier of ancient magic that cuts across the continent, splitting two radically different civilizations.
On one side lies the human domain, a gorgeous but damned landscape. It is a world of stark contrasts: modern firearms and gritty technology mixed with a rigid, Victorian-inspired class system. Seven factions are locked in a brutal, bloody war for resources. The Tillage Ward, where Zin lives, is a lush, green agricultural haven pressed right against the Wall. But further inland, the wealthy Capital is a heavily industrialized machine, surrounded by toxic, ruined dead zones left in the wake of human greed.
Across the border lies the Jin homeland, a civilization of indescribable beauty and hyper-advanced technology. The Jin are a stunning, physically superior species—taller, faster, and stronger than humans. Their grey eyes hold an otherworldly calm, while the royal bloodline's eyes glow a striking purple under certain moons. Yet, beneath their perfect, civilized exterior is a rotten core. A dark, hypocritical society of elites uses forbidden magic to manipulate their own people, brainwashing them into despising humanity.
But the human-Jin conflict is only a fraction of the truth. Beyond the Wall and the war lies the rest of Lumeria—a massive, untamed planet featuring a vast, unforgiving Sahara desert and a deep, mysterious ocean. Uninvolved species live out their lives in these distant lands, completely separate from the border conflict. To them, the warring humans and Jin are nothing but a forgotten myth.
In a world this big, a forbidden love between a human boy and a Jin princess should mean nothing. But it might be the only thing that matters.
